May I suggest the addition of a custom edit screen that doesn’t rely on blocks? I would love to be able to really design the Custom Post Type edit page as each one I make is pretty unique and having that ability would go along way. Classic Editor helps, but I think you could make it really nice!

I have a question about your new feature, the icon picker field type. I have been thinking about it for a long time, and today, when I saw it, I was super happy. However, I have a suggestion for you.

Could you add a feature for the icon picker that allows us to upload our IcoMoon files, for example, in .json or .svg formats, and select our icons from them instead of using Dashicons or other types?

We have something similar in a WordPress plugin called IcoMoon for ACF, but I want to use only ACF alone. If you add this feature in either the pro or free version, that would be awesome.

Will this (under the hood) still depend on ID’s

Yes, IDs are still used for the selection, we just show a more user-friendly label, eg. Term name. Differences of IDs between environments is still an issue, but should be solved by making sure development/local sites are refreshed from production regularly.

Really looking forward to a future update for the icon picker-field to support custom icon sets and selecting a folder with icons.

There are some filters there to help with this, which we hope to document the use of in a tutorial soon. However, in terms of making this a feature of the field type – this isn’t something we will be working on as we work on higher priority features and improvements.

A question about the following: "We’ve spent some time really polishing the UX and making sure that whenever a Taxonomy, User, Relationship, Post Object, or Page Link field is used in a conditional logic rule, you can actually select from the data in the field without having to know object IDs!"

Will this (under the hood) still depend on ID’s? Or is there a more intelligent way of selecting the values, so it will work across different environments of the same site.
